Eight at 8 is a daily trivia game at eightat8trivia.com (also reachable at play8at8.com). Each day brings eight multiple-choice questions on one topic, presented in our YouTube videos, with answers submitted on this website. By using the site — as a guest or a registered player — you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. Questions about these terms? Email [email protected].
Anyone may play as a guest. To register an account, you must be at least 13 years old. The service is not directed to children under 13, and if we learn that someone under 13 has registered, we may remove the account. If you register, you are responsible for activity under your account — keep access to your email inbox secure, since sign-in works through a magic link sent to your email.
Registered players claim a handle once. Your handle appears publicly on share cards and the leaderboard, so choose it well:

If we believe an entry or account violates these rules, we may void the entries, remove the account from standings, suspend or terminate the account, or take a combination of these steps — with or without notice, at our reasonable discretion.
From time to time we may run contests or offer prizes. Any contest will be governed by its own Official Rules, published alongside that contest, and those rules control if they conflict with these terms. Streaks and monthly averages may be used to determine standings or eligibility where the Official Rules say so. Nothing in the everyday game — playing, streaks, or leaderboard position — creates a right to a prize on its own.
Eight at 8, including its name and branding, questions, videos, graphics, and website design, is our intellectual property (or used with permission) and is protected by applicable laws. You may enjoy it and share your own results using the share tools we provide, but you may not copy, repost, sell, or build on our questions or content commercially without our written permission.
We work hard to keep Eight at 8 running every morning, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including that it will always be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Features, topics, schedules, and standings calculations may change, and we may suspend or discontinue parts of the service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us to use the service (which, for the game itself, is nothing).
You may stop using Eight at 8 at any time, and you may ask us to delete your account by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, and the fair-play and content rules above survive any termination where they reasonably should.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
